Johanna Venho

Johanna Venho is an award-winning poet and writer. The First Lady is Venho’s first historical novel. In Sylvi Kekkonen’s story, Venho contemplates a woman’s life and identity, as well as the limitations imposed on her self-expression, by carefully weaving fact and fiction together.

Venho’s award-winning poems and books she has written for children have been published in a number of languages; e.g. in French, German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish and Slovakian. The First Lady was published in Estonian.
