Satu Rämö

Satu Rämö (b. 1980) moved to Iceland twenty years ago as an economics exchange student, but instead of macroeconomics she ended up studying Icelandic culture, literature and mythology before forging a successful career as a blogger, writer, coach and mentor. Satu has published some twenty bestselling, prizewinning non-fiction titles in her native Finland, ranging from travel guides to Iceland, to inspirational memoirs and an Icelandic sweater knitting book with renowned knitwear designer, Sigríður Sif ”Sigga” Gylfadóttir. Her fiction debut, Hildur was an instant bestseller that was followed by Rósa & Björk in spring 2023 to great acclaim and commercial success. Jakob, the third book in the series publishes in Finland in November 2023.  In Germany, Hildur has been on ‘Der Spiegel’ bestseller’s TOP 20. A big-budget TV series of Hildur is in development by Take Two Studios with Sagafilm, and is being adapted for stage by Turku City Theatre.
