Emma Puikkonen

Emma Puikkonen was born in 1974 in Hämeenlinna, left her heart in Turku and currently lives in Helsinki. Puikkonen is a trained drama instructor and Master of Arts who has worked in a wide range or positions involving both literature and theatre. Puikkonen’s debut novel, A Play about Turku was nominated for the Helsingin Sanomat debut novel award in 2001, and her novel Music for the Road was nominated for the Tiiliskivi award in 2013. In Music for the Road, Puikkonen describes a liberating road trip through summery Finland. In European Dreams, too, the characters move, encounter others and disappear.
