Katja Kaukonen (b. 1968) holds an MA in Finnish language and literature from the University of Tampere. She has received the Tampere Literary Prize twice for her novels The Hum (2014) and Watching Over Snow Street (2017). Literary critics have particularly praised Kaukonen’s fluid narration, smooth language and the exquisite beauty of her novels that radiate with hopefulness and humanity.
