Beloved for her magical adventure novels in historical settings, Mikama’s The Caged Bird is set in the Victorian era Ireland, and the Irish mythical world of fair folk. The book forms the first half in Mikama’s magical fantasy duology, that will be completed by The Silver Wing in Autumn 2026.
