Kaija Puura (b. 1961) MD., Ph.D is Professor of Child Psychiatry at the Tampere University of Finland and Head of Child Psychiatry at the Tampere University Hospital in Finland.
With a career spanning over thirty years, her extensive research and work on the assessment and treatment of young children has been widely published in national and international peer reviewed journals.
Kaija Puura was an Associate Editor of the Infant Mental Health Journal 2013-2022. She is also the Executive Director of the World Association for Infant Mental Health (WAIMH) and Vice President of the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (IACAPAP) (2018-2022).
