Laura Gustafsson

Laura Gustafsson is one of Finland’s most acclaimed authors and has published seven critically acclaimed novels. She calls books dealing with sexual violence women’s war stories and, in her own work, seeks to bring forth voices that have been silenced. In The Book of Flesh she weaves together the themes of power, animal production, and womanhood with a strong literary touch. Gustafsson works across a wide range of artistic fields and is also involved in the Animal Rights Academy organisation. Her works have been translated into French, German and Turkish.
