German rights sold to Maisku Myllymäki’s THE GUARD!

Kampa Verlag just acquired German language rights for Maisku Myllymäki’s THE GUARD! Herzlichen Glückwunsch! Kampa previously bought Maisku’s Holly. Read below the lovely words Kampa editor Meike Stegkemper found for Maisku and THE GUARD.

Unfortunately, I don’t speak Finnish, but the sample translation has made me very curious: The interplay between social networks and art, between self-perception and external perception, between observing and being observed. How the fast pace of the internet meets the silence of the museum.
I am as well interested in the museum as a setting: a place where time does not seem to exist. And the form of the monologue. I really admire the vivid, detailed observations.”
