The Icelandic Sweater Patterns from Satu Rämö’s Hildur Crime Series — now in a book!
Jakob Johanson, the knitting Finnish police officer from the Hildur novels, has had time to knit many new sweaters while living in Iceland. Following the much-loved Hildur and Jakob patterns, the collection now expands with new designs inspired by other characters in the series. Hildur Sweaters presents 11 traditional Icelandic sweater patterns, each named after a different character.
Through the knitting instructions, new perspectives on the characters’ lives unfold. This book introduces signature sweaters for Rósa, Björk, Freyr, and Tinna, among others. The designs, inspired by the Hildur novels, are created by Icelandic knitwear designer Sigríður Sif “Sigga” Gylfadóttir, already well known from the duo’s previous book Sigga and Satu’s Icelandic Sweaters.

‘Hildur Sweaters is a beautifully executed work that we feel sure is going to be a hit with many of Satu Rämö’s fans here in Iceland. The sweaters, beautifully designed by Sigríður Sif Gylfadóttir, are a great mix of classic patterns and colourful and fun details and the photographs from Ísafjörður make a fantastic canvas for them to come alive on. The sweaters are tied to fictional characters from the Hildur-series which makes them even more personalized and special, and there are great instructions that work for everyone from beginners to more experienced knitters. We can’t wait to see more examples of the Jakob, Rakel and Tinna walking amongst us in the coming year!’ –Elín Edda Pálsdóttir, Forlagid, Iceland
