Pete and the Abominable Snowman

Pate lumimiehen jäljillä

A hairy hand reaches up from the depths of the chest freezer, in between the containers, bread bags, and clouds of frost. It hands me an ice lolly.

“Thanks!” I say, and snap the lid shut.“Who were you talking to?” Senja asks in surprise.
I find myself surprised too, because I don’t really know.
“Are Elsa’s arms hairy in Frozen?” I ask, just to check.

A little snowman, a child rather than an abominable one, has come to find Pete to save his world. Apparently the snowman has heard that Pete and his friends help others in dire situations. Soon enough Pete, Senja and Totti-the-dog find themselves in the Himalayas with the little snowman, and learn that someone—or something—is melting the glacial ice, causing rivers to overflow and valleys to flood. And it turns out, that to save the world while also solving the mystery of the abominable snowman, one only needs to have great friends, and even greater sense of humour.
