Super Furball and the Time Travel Symphony

Emilia and her friends are prisoners of the past who are stuck in Sibelius’ time.

Emilia and her class are heading to the seaside for a school trip. They’re getting there in their Biology teacher Seija’s psychadelic bus. Who would have guessed that their boring teacher Seija Lipsanen was once a hippie?!

Once they arrive, the class are split up into groups and Emilia’s group are tasked with carrying out research on Sibelius’ Ainola. They follow Fat Antero, who leads them into a forbidden room and… all of a sudden they’re in the year 1876! Back in the old days, they meet the 11-year-old Janne, otherwise known as Jean Sibelius himself! Janne is composing a tune, but he needs help from Emilia’s class to get the right lyrics. Fortunately the pupils are more than happy to help. But living in the past in terrible, are they really going to be stuck in the 19th century forever?

Emilia racks her brain for ways to get in touch with Great Guinea. But since she can’t get her hands on a guinea pig water bottle, she can’t tranform into Super Furball. A desperate search for a guinea pig ensues, taking the children back to Helsinki by horseback.

This is an environmentally aware series whose characters — both adults and children — have a wickedly dry sense of humour. The first Super Furball movie was met with rave reviews when it was released in January 2018. It’s been a huge success, with over 100,000 people flocking to the cinema to see it!
